Catdog Wisdom

OK we are shopping today and see one of those "wishing wells". You know throw a penny in, make a wish. So Catdog says "wow that's neat". I said "it is a wishing well". He says: "Well I guess they wouldn't call it a wishing pool, mom." You got to love 6 yr olds.

My thoughts on Resolutions!

Resolutions

Well starting early, because I really have to think about this one. What am I going to pick that I don't say I'm going to do one day anyway. So will I pick anything and make it sound like I am just being more open minded this year and will let whatever happen, happen. No most likely just being stubborn and don't want to cyberlize my personal resolutions. You'll just have to guess.

So in return for me being "mums the word" about my own resolutions, I tried to find some unusual resolutions out in google land. Only found funny site that gave list of resolutions you will most likely keep. Here are my top 5 from the list. I really think I will do good with these:
1. Create loose ends (even though I don't like to fix these "loose ends" I might enjoy making them)
2. Get further in debt (goal is to get out of debt, I am simply using reverse psychology here people)
3. Break at least 1 traffic law (note this has no minimum or time frame, so I can and most likely will do this daily)
4. Focus on the faults of others (not very nice, but tends to come easily)
5. Get in a whole new rut (so I have to get out of this rut, which will lead to a new rut. I am on my way)

So, if you dare to let us all know what your resolutions are, we will be happy to inform you when you are breaking them. Good Luck. Happy New Year to everyone!!

Merry Christmas

Just in case this week is crazy (I'm sure it will be for most of us). Here is my blog Christmas card, so to speak. See you guys first of the year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Stranded

hey is this the island you are all stranded on that obviously has no wifi or plug in connections for you to check your crazy friends blog site. So what that I am not blogging daily. It's Christmas dammit. I am doing the best I can. But do I here from anyone. No you bunch of ****** (sweet, nice, friends, who love me) went off to some island. And you know what the worst part is? You didn't take me with you. I know I was holding out for Australia, but guys I wanted to go to. Remember I am the baby.

Screw This

Well just because I have been asked for the umpteenth time for pics of the pirate tree, I actually thought I would try to download them from the camera. Reason this is about to make me use curse words that I try to keep at a minimum, I already know that my computer and camera only get along on 1 day a year. Maybe 2, but point is I have not had luck with this form of download for 2 yrs and I know it. But being the optimist (you know glass of mojito is always half full kinda girl) I tried anyway.

Well low and behold the damn thing nearly worked. Well my pictures could be viewed, you know it uploaded 328 images from the camera, but the m.fin thing did not work as in would not save my fabulous photos. Some of which were of Oregon, which I would really love to put on my blog. So I have tried until I have decided that the stress of this is why I just have my pics put on disc at walmart. You know I am happy and calm and don't have to blog about how the computer is just being a shita@@ and the camera is holding out until the wedding night kind of attitude.

So there you have it. I will make a disc after Christmas and then post my tree. It is really cute if I must say so. I am going to save all my rum bottles to add some touches to it for next year. And lots of record ornaments that play pirate tunes. Yo Ho, I love Christmas!

I Can Explain...

No this is not the beginning of my letter to Santa. It is actually a beginning to this blog. I was pondering what to write about today and I thought I would write about how freakin busy I have been. Between figuring out crazy people's problems at work, shopping for Christmas, keeping everyone happy, and not running my vehicle off the road in a brief (I mean very, very, very, brief moment) of desperation to regain my sanity (which was regained at the thought of how I would have to explain that) I have not been blogging. Actually I didn't realize that I had went nearly 5 days without doing so.

Well, I have been doing other things. Which as you guys know or don't know my mind also needs a little "junk food" as I call it in the form of a romance novel. Not those trailer trash novels, they are more the high class trashy novels. So yesterday, when I should have blogged, I read a whole book. And just for the record I actually bought 2-3 (who's keeping count) to read over this past week. I am a junkie and hince could feel the addiction coming on. Trouble is I only like certain writers ( I am trying to branch out) and it seems I have actually read all of their works (even back to the 1970s flee market finds - thanks to the internet). So I try others, but I actually did find a new release and again (what can I say) I read the whole book yesterday afternoon and into the night (finished about 1 am). Also cooked supper and watched the kids (just so you know).

So this brings me to the blog. I thought I might share a few exerts from this book and maybe you can see my dilemma.
(Just to say that I am not saying this is my own work - Author Lisa Kleypas, Title "Seduce Me at Sunrise". Which is a collection of characters that she writes about in several books. (for some reason I always like the books that are a series).
So main characters are the sexy gypsy with broad shoulders, built like a horse (I mean big as a house) that is in love (but can't tell her of course) with The beautiful girl who is blonde and also in love with him. Don't you just love drama.

So here are some of the fav parts: He took her mouth agian, no longer gentle. He sank his tongue into her, aggressively searching. Both his hands cam eup to her head, angling it to make her mouth fully accessible. She reached aroung him gripping the powerful stretch of his back, the hard muscles that went on and on. ......... Pulling her head back, he sought the fragile skin of her throat and dragged his mouth along it as if he wanted to consume her. His hunger escalated and drove his breath faster and his pulse harder, until Win realized he was cloe to losing all control.
(People.... this was just pg 94, believe me there was more and it got better - if that is possible)

Toward the end: He stared at her without blinking, half-fearing that the slightest movement on his part might precipitate actions he wouldn't be able to control. He might simply launch toward her and drag her from the room. The anticipation was delicious, knowing he was going to have her soon.

(I just love the way delicious was used. Maybe I will use that word today. Unfortunetly it will probably be in regards to the cookies Catdog made with his Granny K last night. Oh well. I guess that is why I read so much. Or it is a good excuse)

Christmas

Look I was going to say that I found out from internet stalker where salty pink pixie lives and I took a pic of her outside decorations.....

But decided that actually more than one person I know could save up to do that at
Christmas. Then I came across this tree and thought it almost (very close) put my black pirate tree to shame. Maybe just jealous that someone surely had to drink those. It would just weigh to much if you didn't then it would be some sort of hazard. Oh well.

If you can't tell it is beer bottles. Hmmm... How many would it take to do a 12 ft tree in the living room.... Hope for next year. I'm sure I could get through the holidays on that amount. I could invite friends over to help me.

Story People

Double D gave me this awesome book about a yr ago that I found. It is Story People by Brian Andreas and it is like wacked out Dr. Seuss. Anyway thumbing thru it, which book is little exerts and sayings that crack me up. So wanted to share some with you guys.

Season of Joy:
She asked me when the season of joy was suppose to end and I said I didn't really think there was an exact date, so we left the tree up till June that year.

(See you can always come up with some reason to enjoy Christmas year round, and not take the decorations down again just to put back up, again!!)

Clean Underwear:
Make sure you got clean underwear, she always said, in case you get in an accident and I always figured that'd be the least of my worries, but now I'm older and I see there's a lot you can't control and some you can control and clean underwear is one of those you can. for the most part.

(Love this. So true. Wouldn't you hate to be in the paper for all eternity and there be a quote from officer Mayberry saying we got her out just fine, but her underwear was rank. If it occured to someone other than me, I know I would probably frame it and post on a public wall for all to see. Remember that girls.)

Two Wise Men:
My great aunt Clara tod us once about the time she was one of the wise men in hte church play and when it came to her part she said we're here bearing frankincense, gold & myrrh, heavy on the frankincense because of that camel smell & after that her father always called it the story of the Two Wise Men and that other guy & we laughed so hard we had to pee.

(I could see my kids doing this, especially Catdog. Lord save us!)

Chihuahua (this is my fav, don't really know why):
I remember once I went to my great grandmother's house. It was a big white house and it always smelled like slightly burned toast & raspberry jam. She had a picture of Jesus on the wall in her living room. She told me his eyes would follow you around when you walked. I told a friend about it a while ago. He nodded and said he used to have a Chihuahua that did the same thing.

(See, I can't help but like it. It sounds like some fast comment that I would come up with. Imagine the conversation you telling someone about this kinda freaky thing and them saying oh well my dog does the same thing. I love it.)

Hope you are all having a great day and Christmas is only 20 days away!!!

The 3 P's of Life

Well have to tell the whole world about my last 48 hours. Of which very little sleep occured. Anyway P #1: My period starts. Ok no big deal. After so many years you really should get the option of turning it off. I may actually work on that. But until then I should have known it was coming. I crave sweets like mad. Like Mad Bessy Vane, the chocolate eating goat (heehee). Life continued. I went home that night, late as usual to make a cake for one of my mom's friends b-days (quite an honor to get asked to do that, so I said sure). Where in occurs.....

P #2: I was to make (I say was, because as you will read, it did not occur as such) a Pumpkin Spice Cake. A recipe given by Call Girl #7, which is very good and now we have proven even very good when ingridents are not correct. Guess what was missing (noticed 20 minutes to late), the Pumpkin. So pumpkin spice cake became just spice cake. Very much like spice girls minus one. Anyway the lady's say they thought cake was great and obviously they failed the pumpkin challenge. Call Girl just so you know. Cake good both ways. Other thought was that little old lady once told me you should never can anything while on your period (note to self was I don't plan on canning anyway), so I modified this (after the pumpkin incident) to no baking while on period. Remember that girls. It will be in the next Almanac.

Now to P #3: Puke. Puke. Puke. and more Puke. Not from me. Even though I could have used some form of alcohol at 2 am while plowboy and I were cleaning Sis up from (I'm sure) a school stomach bug. She was great about it. Luckily both kids are good while sick. Anyway trail of puke (TOP) brought us to her and then she ended up with shower (I volunteered for) while plowboy got the TOP. Thanks plowboy for your hard work. Anyway, puke turned into diahrrea, that turned into fever by 9 am. So little sleep. Sis better now (must be the 24hr stomach bug) and will go to school tomorrow.

So those are the 3 Ps of my life. Just remember most fun, exciting, blow your head off things come in 3's. Best wishes to you guys.

Lana Turner?

Ok Jedi. What about this vintage hot actress? Something classy about the whole look. So you get to be someone nice for a change. If you don't like it I can find pictures of Oscar the Grouch. HeeHee

Could be really ugly and make comment such as maybe I thought you would know who she actually was!!

Yea, Salty Pink Pixie is back

For all of you guys who don't view other bloggers (aka those listed under my favs) are missing out. I have been kinda on the downlow with work and not being able to view Salty Pink Pixie's blog site (where's my freakin mind - which became where's my freakin blog site I read) while her computer went thru bootcamp or detox or rehab. Whichever? 5 step process worked and she is back to making me LMAO. She is as funny as me, which is pretty awesome. Anyway. Welcome Back. Everyone go check it out.
