Thoughts to Ponder

Once again I have turned to one of my favorite books, Story People for thoughts of the day:

Crayon Pirate:
There was a single blue line of crayon drawn across every wall in the house. What does it mean? I asked. A pirate needs the sight of the sea, he said and then he pulled his eye patch down and turned and sailed away.

Waiting for Signs:
I used ot wait for a sign, she said, before I did anything. Then one night I had a dream and an angel in black tights came to me and said, You can start any time now and then I asked is this a sign? and the angel started laughing and I woke up.

Now, I think the whole world is filled with signs, but if there's no laughter, I know they're not for me.

Funny Quotes

Well got off on the Shrek thing and had to put my favorite quotes:

#1. That's right fool! Now I'm a FLYING talking donkey! You mighta seen a housefly, maybe even a superfly, but I bet you ain't never seen a DONKEY FLY!

#2. Nobody move! I have a dragon and I'm not afraid to use it! I'M A DONKEY ON EDGE!

#3. Princess, you're not that ugly. Well, all right, you are ugly; I ain't gonna lie to you. But you're only like this at night. Shrek's ugly 24/7.

#4. No one likes a kiss-ass

and #5.
Donkey: So where is this fire-breathin' pain in the neck, anyway?
Shrek: Inside, waiting for us to rescue her.
Donkey: I was talkin' about the dragon, Shrek.

One to grow on:
Donkey: [upon seeing the swamp for the first time] Whoa! Look at that! Who'd wanna live in a place like that?
Shrek: That would be my home.
Donkey: Oh, and it is LOVELY! Just BEAUTIFUL! You know, you're really quite a decorator. It's amazing what you've done with such a modest budget! [looks at boulder] I like that boulder. That is a NICE boulder.

Just funny

Here I am on a blog binge. I just couldn't help myself

I think pirate is sexy

Not that we don't already know that I would probably melt if some hunk of a guy said argh or shiver me timbers along with other pirate dialog, I just was reminded of it last night. Several friends were socializing and making fun of the song She thinks my tractors sexy and I blurt out: Oh, my song is she thinks my pirates sexy. We all laughed about that since it was corny and just typical me. Do they have rehab for these kind of things?

My kind of day.

Coco

Not Channel this time, but Coco who blogs on Coco's Cuckoo World. I have been reading her stuff ever since I got hooked on Where's my freaking mind (the title alone deservesa applaud). Anyway I just noticed that she was not linked on my site. Which I tend to remedy at said moment. So Coco thanks for keeping a great blog. Love your stuff and am now sharing with all my friends (which is a big step for me).

Prejudice

Well this special blog goes out to Mr. Ichabod. Well I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Ichabod thought (at the time) that he was being very witty and cute with this little blog entry. I myself am a blogger and have random thoughts and concerns and really just off the wall crazy shit that I talk about, but I just can't really put my finger on a time that I wrote about and pretty much labeled a group of people becuase of where they lived and the homes they live in.

See I just can't go with the prejudice bit. I pretty much think that people should be judged by character, personality, actions, not the car they drive or where they live. People tend to continually surprise the shit out of me. I have seen assholes that drive BMWs and I have seen assholes that drive beat up Gremlins. I have seen people be rude in restaurants and stores that may have millions of dollars or non at all. So to me looks and perceptions only tell part of the story.

Anyway, we have an aspiring author in our mists who decided to write this blog about how when he went out to visit a home (as required by his job), he felt like he had turned into the gates of Camelot. The story then continues in his Shrek vs. Camelot way that pretty much tends to label these people who he truly doesn't even know. Mr. Ichabod bad form. I am sure you are thinking maybe I should not have pressed the save button. Now it is too late. You are having the tables turned. The same people plus everyone else that read the entry, think you are an idiot.

But that would not be fair. Again you are someone I don't even know. So, I am going with you really should think before you write such comments. You not only labeled this particular group of people, but you make it sound like you could label anyone. Should I worry if you come to my house or neighborhood. What if I have a nice home or a perhaps I live in a shack. Will I be talked about next? I mean there are nice homes all over the county, matter of fact all over the world. Should we be labeling everyone or did you just get caught up in the dream world of Castles, Knights, Kings and Merry men and try your best to write a little funny ditty about the whole experience. Well I hope that is what it is.

So Mr. Ichabod I think it would be best to just say, hey guys that is not how I meant it. Because I know that I would be hurt if the article had involved me. I have several friends who live in this area and I have never once thought of them this way. It was very unsporting of you. If you are lucky they will just turn the other cheek and say obviously he doesn't know what he is talking about. If you are not then be concerned when you see the pitch forks coming down your road. Good Luck.

Vegas!!!

Well since being a crybaby and broke didn't get me a weekend trip to Vegas. Actually will probably never go. And further to add have watched way to much CSI Las Vegas and I may not want to go. So I have brought Vegas to my house. Well a little bit for a super fantastic Birthday Party for my friend Princess.

Shit I hope the house looks ok and the prostitutes stay upstairs. But, if things get wild, well that's just Vegas. Take it or leave it. So I hope all my friends are going to show up, hint, hint for the event. It is what 730am and I already am starting 12 hrs in advance. Just a little Music Therapy. Go me, Go me. haha.

So the old saying what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas may or may not ring true. I will blog any good stuff for everyone to read. Oh Well. What can I say. Well going to finish getting stuff together. Lets see I have checked off: liquor, gambling, cake, liquor, friends, Elvis, gambling, and liquor. Yep, I think we are ready.

Just letting off steam. Thanks for listening

Confusion?

Just couldn't decide if this was a snapshot of me or the person trying to screw me over. Well I will have to go with obviously not me and it must be the mysterious evil stepmother (or queen) that is just trying to see how big my threshold is. Oh well, just so you know evil queenie, it is big, very very big. Hince why I have lived through everything thus far. Go ahead bring it on.

Random Thoughts

Well it is Sunday. A day of rest, a day to prepare myself for the week, and a day I guess to catch up on all I didn't get done last week (which kinda crosses out the day of rest idea). So what do I have to do. Everything. I am having a gathering on Friday night at my house (which means pick up, stash, or just throw stuff away) so I can appear as if my house always stays clean. Then another big bash on Sat night (not at my house, thank goodness). It's my dads 60th (I have been told that my dad looks too young to have a daugher as old as me. Go dad! But, screw you to the person who said it).

So lots of events this weekend. As always, I just hope to live through the week. It really looks busy. Which I would rather stay busy, it's just I hate feeling like I have been run over by a frieght train. Don't worry, I will still hold true to Coco's famous words and at least try to look like something. You know that Destiny business.

Thinking I should finish the post, since I am trying to clean, dispose, hide articles in my home. Computer time really should be limited. Well, guess not really to worried. I inform my friends regularly that they may find all kind of things in my home. I do live here you know.

Ok, I FINALLY get it

So I am surf blogging which is much like when I have the remote to the tv or when I am surfing through the FM stations in the car. I came across this cute blog site called Her Highness of Cute. Don't even ask for directions, because I don't know how I even got to it. But since I have already decided that things tend to find me (for whatever reason)I looked around and have now become a blog copy cat and stole this saying (and picture).

“I don't understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.” -Coco Chanel

So for all my peeps, I get it!!! Maybe I really haven't all these years. You know some unfortunate thing about being the baby and only girl with 2 older brothers. So I thought it was "ok" to go out without eyeliner or lip gloss. Opps!!! I was wrong. I admit it. Why you guys didn't make me see clearer any sooner than this, I don't know. But I did want to say thanks for your effort and to Coco for just telling it like it is. You know Destiny is pretty damn important and so is politeness.

Valentine's Day

Oh it is valentine's day. A day for hearts and candy and cards and dinner and all kinds of fun stuff that really only happens on this one day. So when I went to find the perfect card (I guess it would be called my blog valentine) I went through everything. I know you all may be thinking about some sexy guy in heart briefs or thong perhaps, but sorry not this time. I found this cute vintage valentine just for this special day. It was just too cute. So I have posted it.

Oh, I don't have to have an excuse like valentine's day to post some hot guy, so don't be upset.

Oh another funny valentine

any questions?

FISH OIL?

Well this is for my friend, she knows who she is (unsure if I would want to own up to this- hint, hint), regarding her recent purchase of fish oil. Well I am sure it was some doctor related thing, but to here her tell (or maybe my version) is a new valentine treat. Oh much funnier when it all went down in person, but I did threaten to blog it. So I am. If I am one thing it is loyal or maybe just a true pain in the ass. Oh well.

I found this valentine for you (Lily pad). Enjoy the fish oil.

Have a fun night. HaHa

Starting the Morning out Right

Not a big coffee fan myself, but have that addiction to diet Sun-drop. I would call it an "eye opener" in the mornings for me that tends to last all day long. Some day I may try to decrease this addiction, but for now I will live with the fact that I am probably eating the lining of my stomach away by drinking this stuff. Diet Sun-Drop is just the ultimate. I'm sorry but I can't just go buy dietwhatever is on sale like some folk. It is either diet Sun-drop or Beer. So either way I win. Oh I do pick up CapriSun for the kiddos.

Ahh the number 7

Can't help myself. Just another quick reason 7 is so great. Too bad (metaphorically speaking) that I am now on number 8. Remember 8 is great. Great like Chocolate cake. Oh well not as funny when you are typing it. Now on to number 9!!!

Where Have I Been?

Oh Shit was all I could say or think for that matter when I came on to check my blog. Where have I been. No posts in the month of February and it is already the 7th. Shit once again, since this is like the shortest month. Well all I can say is please with sugar on top forgive me. Now once again I must come up with some greatness. That doesn't seem to be flowing at this very moment. But, I will make it up to you all. Oh, that does not mean I am going to facebook. Sorry but still in boycott mode on that.
